Roger Federer and his wife, Mirka, are donating more than $1 million to Swiss families in need amid the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Sports Illustrated and CNN, the tennis star announced in an Instagram post Wednesday that the pair is donating 1 million Swiss Francs – or about $1.03 million U.S. – to help “the most vulnerable families in Switzerland.”
”Our contribution is just a start,” Federer, 38, wrote. “We hope that others might join in supporting more families in need. Together we can overcome this crisis! Stay healthy!”
